| Do I have to register to read the Forums? |
|
No, the entire site is accessible without registering. You only need to register to post in the forums or classified ads.

| I just registered but I can't login |
|
When you register, your registration will need to be approved by an administrator. This is a step we have had to implement to block spammers.
You will receive an email within 24 hours that will allow you to complete your registration. Please make sure to add email@southcarolinaonthelakes.com to your safe senders list so the confirmation is not incorrectly marked as spam.

| How Do I make a change or delete a classified ad? |
|
While logged in, go to your ad on the site. There is a pencil icon on the right for editing ads and a garbage can icon for deleting ads.

| How Do I change my username? |
|
The system does not allow users to change their own username. If you would like to change your username, please send your current username and your preferred username to email@SouthCarolinaOnTheLakes.Com . The request must come from the same email address as is registered for security reasons.

| I forgot my password - what can I do? |
|
In the upper right corner of the page of the forums there is an link to "Forgot your password". Please add our website's email address to your "safe" list to allow the confirmation email to come through.

| I registered a year ago and never posted. Now I can't log in. |
|
The system does a clean up of registrations that are dormant for 4 months or more. You are free to re-register.

| I registered but never recieved a confirmation email. |
|
You should receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Make sure when you registered you used a valid email address and your email system does not see email from SouthCarolinaOnTheLakes.Com as spam. You can add our email address to your safe list to ensure you receive it. If you do not know how to add an email to a safe list, contact your ISP or system administrator.

| Why can't I see photos in some posts? |
|
Photos in posts are from other websites and many corporate systems block all third party images. You may also have some kind of image blocking software installed you your system. Check with your isp or system administrator.

| I forgot my username and password |
|
Email the admin at email@SouthCarolinaOnTheLakes.Com with the email address you registered. The username can be retrieved and a new password set.

| How do I get an avatar? |
|
You can login and go to the profile link at the top of the page and then select change your avatar. You have the option of uploading your own, using one in the system, or using one hosted elsewhere. The size is limited to 96 x 96 pixels and the system will crop (not resize) the image to this dimension. Anyone posting or using an inappropriate avatar will be banned.

| How do I post pictures? |
|
There are two ways to post pictures.
A. Email them to us and we will post them in the photo gallery. Please include any info for the picture (Date taken, fisherman, weight of fish, etc.)
B. follow these guidelines posted by our members:
1. Go to www.photobucket.com create a free account and log in to it.
2. Upload your images to your PB account.
3. Place a check mark in the photos you would like to share.
4. Click "Generate HTML and IMG Code"
5. Copy the IMG text for message boards it will say, "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards - recommended or IMG images for message boards"
6. Paste on this site to share your catch!!!

| Activation key not found message |
|
If you click the link in the registration confirmation email and recieve the message that the activation key cannot be found, this mean you have already clicked the link and the registration is already complete. You can delete the email and login at the site.
