Quick report today, as I have to go to Aiken this aftenoon. Lines in at 8, and out at noon. Started in Hollow Creek, very muddy, and no birds or fish. Water is muddy all the way across the lake to the Little Gap. Marked fish at the little gap, tried DR's and FL's no luck. Moved to Crystal Lake where there was lots of bird activity. Fished DR's and FL's and picked up one 22 in. keeper on a FL and one short fish on a DR. The fish and birds scattered and could not locate any large flocks of birds or schools of fish. Tried acouple of areas in Crystal Lake but no luck. On returing to Hollow Creek I found all the lost birds and quit a lot of bait, what bad timing as I could not stay to fish the area. Maybe next week. |

Sully, Crystal lake was mostly clear, but I did not check how far east the muddy water went down the channel.
Rick, I do have a map but I do not think I gave away any club secrets
The bait and fish seem to be hanging at a line where the mud line starts. I have caught fish in muddy watter in Hollow creek and in clear water in Crystal lake, but nothing above the Gap. Has anyone had any success above the Gap? I have heard of stories of fish caught up lake but no one has posted any such reports, or is this a club secret. |

I have not fished above the Gap in 3 weeks, so I do not know what is happening up the lake. I did talk with someone yesterday that said the muddy water goes east past Bomb Island.

| Rick, thanks for the input. As always my intent is to elimnat the bad fishing spots. It would appear that verry muddy water up lake can be eliminated as a good place to fish. |
