I am new to the area...lived here as a kid and then moved back. I live around the corner from the Ashely River near Fort Dorchester... I have been doing very well on Catfish on cut mullet....Nothing smaller than 4 pounds....Most fish avg. 6-7 pounds Had a couple break off so I went to the 20 pound "bad kitty" rods(light saltwater rods and TL 100 shimano reels)Caught a 28 inch red the last trip I had to throw back... The tides are a pain...very shallow at low tide. Fish only seem to bite on moving water....High or Low Any body else ever fish out there??????I saw a guy with a boat that said Catfish for Sale Call 873----- Didn't know you could sell catfish out of rivers ....I figure that was the best clue this is a good "BAD KITTY!!!" fishing spot....
